I am a Principal Economist at Amazon, FBA Science. I held faculty positions as a Professor of Economics at TED University and Louisiana State University. I also served as a Deputy Governor, Monetary Policy Committee Member, Head of Structural Economic Research, and Economist at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. I am affiliated with IZA and ERF as a Research Fellow.

I am interested in Applied Microeconomics with a particular focus on Labor Economics, Human Capital, and Social Interactions & Networks. My research draws on techniques in Causal Inference, Machine Learning, Structural Econometrics, and Bayesian Statistics.

I received my PhD degree in Economics from the University of Chicago. I also obtained MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and BSc in Economics from the Middle East Technical University.
